A new bet with my colleague/nemesis Stian has been shook upon. In my last foray I won a made-to-measure suit by going from 98,2kg to 80kg in about 10 weeks. That required some pretty heavy handed dieting, and since I gained about 14 of those kilos back, I am now fat again, but also weak from muscle loss (thanks to my patented lowcal-keto-omad diet). Also the suit doesn't fit anymore as it was measured when I was in my low 80s. Oh well.

This new bet will take me back into the darkness, and will require a lot more active participation than saying no to delicious food and walking a lot. The bet:
Go from untrained to run 10km in sub 50 minutes by the 5th september.
The bet was agreed upon the 17th of June. The stakes? A new made-to-measure suit.
Being a partner in a global Big4 you know atleast I'm good with the fucking numbers.

At the time of making the bet I tried a mixed run/walk and timed in at about 36:30 for 5K, averaging a pace of 7:30. Great.
