The final week of training is done, and now all that is left is to show up and perform on race day this Friday.

What could be better than to end with a pirate shanty? Lyrics/music by Psychofreud.

This week was all about getting more experience at race pace/slightly below, and now it is time to taper up. Body has felt pretty good. Feet and shins a bit banged up, but no biggie.

I have decided to ditch bicarbonate as so far it has about a 50% chance to cause stomach issues, and I think the risk/reward ratio isn't there. Sub 50 should be attainable without!

A fairly moderate week at ~33km, but with 2 solid tempo/interval sessions.
